My Belief on Ghosts

Yes, i do believe in ghosts. I personally have never encountered a ghost as long as i can remember. My mother always told me that when i was younger i was haunted by one of my father's friends who had recently died. But i don't remember, i was to young. Another reason why i believe in ghosts is because of the stories I've heard from my friends about their encounters with ghost, which i believe. I also believe in them because of those shows on the history and discovery channel that show the ghost hunters and all that. I haven't yet encountered any ghosts but i do believe in them.

"Peace Begins With One Person"

In "Peace Begins With one Person", Ivory Harlow discusses her point of view on peace. She shares a personal story which leads her to believing that peace starts with one person. She works as a waitress at a counter-style diner in Texas. I liked how Ivory Harlow gave up her tip money to a lady who was in need. You can tell that ivory is a good-hearted person. That same lady had came back three weeks later to return Harlow's money and offered to buy her breakfast. So Harlow's belief that peace starts with one person is true because the lady came to return the what she had borrowed. It's like a tree, the trunk being that one person, the tree representing peace, and all the branches representing how peace travels from one to the other, connecting.

2nd Chances

Do people deserve 2nd chances? I believe so! From personal experience i believe people deserve second chances. All people make mistakes, and mistakes are for people to learn from them so they wont commit them again. I know the feeling when people mess up for the first time and they feel like everything is lost and everything wont be the same way as before. That feeling is very terrible for people to go through. Now if they commit the mistake again then that's another story.

Feminist much?

I disagree with Dorothy Parker's, General Review of the Sex Situation. She sounds very feminist within her poem. She also writes about women as if they were angels and men as if they were dogs that cant settle down. I disagree with this poem. Not all women like to settle down and just love as shes says in her poem "Love is woman's moon and sun". There are also both men and women that "count to ten" and are bored. There are men who don't get tired of women easily and can be loyal to just one. From her writing, i think i can conclude that she might be angry or has had a bad experience with men in her past. Not all men are "players" or "dogs" as most women would say. They just haven't found Mr. Right or have been looking in the wrong place. No need to judge men for what is thought or said about them. Not everyone is the same!
